Catherine Sweeney
Coach, Girls Program
Catherine Sweeney was one of the most accomplished players in Greater Lowell Tech history, graduating as a four-year varsity starter, 1,000-point scorer, Lowell Sun Player of the Year, and four-time MVP. In October 2026, she'll be inducted into the Greater Lowell Technical High School Hall of Fame.
She continued her career as a four-year starter at Worcester State University, earning All-MASCAC Second Team honors and becoming one of the few players in NCAA Division III history recognized in the NCAA record book for her elite triple-double performances. Catherine has also coached at Greater Lowell Tech, led AAU and youth programs, and is excited to join Arsenal, where she looks forward to helping young athletes grow, compete, and build confidence both on and off the court.
She believes consistency and repetition are the foundation of improvement and challenges every player to push beyond their comfort zone.
Her advice to players:
"You have to hate losing more than you like winning. Push yourself to an endless limit of greatness."
