Brian Bettano
Coach, Boys Program
Brian Bettano brings an incredible basketball pedigree and over 20 years of coaching experience to the Arsenal program. A Methuen High School graduate (Class of ’97), Brian is the school’s all-time leading scorer and was inducted into the MHS Hall of Fame in 2011. Following his standout high school career, he earned a full scholarship to play at UMass Lowell, further solidifying his place in the basketball world. After his playing days, Brian transitioned into coaching, working with athletes from the varsity level down to 4th grade.
Last year was Brian’s first with Arsenal Basketball, and he immediately connected with the program’s family-oriented and supportive culture, which he notes is rare to find. For him, coaching is about more than wins and losses—he takes pride in seeing players grow and develop their skills throughout the season.
Brian’s advice for his players? "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard." With his wealth of experience and focus on player development, Brian is dedicated to helping Arsenal athletes maximize their potential on and off the court.
